The Tomorrow’s Leaders Internship Program
CREATE. INSPIRE. LEAD.
![]() |
The Springpoint Foundation is proud to host the Tomorrow’s Leaders program, a comprehensive initiative that provides college students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain first hand knowledge about senior care in our affordable housing, assisted living and continuing care retirement communities. Through this program, students learn how they can positively impact the quality of life for seniors.
Our interns are encouraged to capitalize on their unique talents, working closely with their local Executive Director and Resident Service Coordinator to learn about the policies and practices that affect the needs of aging adults by:
-
Collaborating on the development of summer programs
-
Assisting with office administration
-
Planning activities and events
-
Performing special assignments
All interns are required to submit weekly and final summaries outlining the work they performed and to provide feedback for future program enhancements. Additionally, all interns will spend time networking with peers from other communities. Participants in the program contribute to the success of the program in a variety of ways.
Each intern:
-
Makes the community a more vibrant and healthy place to live
-
Facilitates an environment of mutual learning and appreciation for multiple generations
-
Demonstrates a commitment to enriching the lives of the nation’s fastest growing segment of the population
-
Ensures that the senior care industry will continue to have compassionate, knowledgeable and well-trained leaders for years to come.
How can you help?
Seniors throughout New Jersey benefit from the dedication and enthusiasm of our interns. These future leaders devote a tremendous amount of time and energy – more than 6,500 hours – to the goal of enriching senior living. But we need your support. Our Tomorrow’s Leaders program relies solely on the generosity of our sponsors and benefactors. Their commitment has enabled the Foundation – and its interns – to truly make a difference in the lives of today’s seniors.
The Foundation encourages support of our programs through donations, sponsorship and endowment using a variety of appeals, special events, sponsorship and naming opportunities and charitable gift planning programs. We offer a variety of flexible donation options for individuals, families, corporations, and private and public foundations.
