Artist in Residence Program at Meadow Lakes, East Windsor NJ
For the fifth year, the Springpoint Foundation presents the Artist-in-Residence program at Meadow Lakes. For the 2012 program, the Foundation is collaborating
with Opera New Jersey, the State’s largest opera company, marking five years of
partnership. As the only program of its kind in either the arts or senior living worlds,
we invite audiences of all ages to witness the collaborative synergy that can be
created by two dynamic non-profit organizations.
This unique residency program allows residents and guests to watch every step of
the process from the earliest rehearsals to the final run through. Residents and
guest witness daily practices and rehearsals, attend specially arranged round table
sessions giving them an insider’s view of opera and some of its renowned stars.
Tosca is Puccini's explosive drama about a tempestuous opera star, the man she
loves, and the sinister police chief who will stop at nothing to have her. This
operatic masterpiece includes some of Puccini’s most popular arias. A world class
cast, including Soprano Kara Shay Thomson, Tenor Jonathan Burton, and Baritone
Scott Bearden will bring this beautiful opera to life at Meadow Lakes.
